Matt Thompson Honored as Industry Leader in StateScoop 50

We’re thrilled to announce Matt Thompson, Socure’s SVP & GM of Public Sector, has been named to the StateScoop 50 for Industry Leadership. The StateScoop 50 is an annual award that recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the public good through government IT. 

During the last year and a half, Thompson has helped Socure become a leading identity verification and fraud risk management solution provider in the public sector. He has worked tirelessly to halt identity fraud in government programs and ensure all Americans, regardless of demographic or background, can verify their identity to access government services. 

Thompson is a proven business leader, successful entrepreneur, Ironman triathlete, and decorated combat veteran. He served as an Army Special Operations Officer, completing four deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan with multiple awards for valor and distinguished service. After transitioning to civilian life, Thompson has made identity the focal point of his career. His civilian experience includes positions at McKinsey & Company, Goldman Sachs, and Capital One and IDEMIA. Thompson also serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Kantara Initiative, the leading global community improving the trustworthy use of identity and personal data through innovation, standardization and best practices.
